Open Doors Academy
Open Doors Academy provides life-changing out-of-school time opportunities for children in northern Ohio who need them most.
We offer enriching afterschool programs, summer camps, scholar travel experiences, and year-round family engagement—all at no or very low cost to families. We are not a school—we are a Cleveland-based educational nonprofit providing holistic support to K-12 (plus one year out of high school) youth and their families. In the 2023-2024 school year, more than 1,800 scholars participated in our programs, and as demand grows, so does our commitment to reaching more students.
To ensure every child has access, our afterschool programs take place within schools, and we provide transportation for afterschool, summer, and family programs. By expanding opportunities and providing the support scholars need to thrive, we help them improve school attendance, strengthen academic skills, and build confidence that lasts a lifetime.
