In our Portland R&D headquarters, a big part of living the “authentic” and “connected” values means fostering diversity and inclusion efforts to engage with URM (underrepresented minority) groups in tech. We’ve been blown away by the level of involvement from our Portland Relics and their willingness to go above and beyond their day to day work to support diversity & inclusion efforts. This focus on community and diversity have really come to define the culture at New Relic's PDX office.
This passion from our employees recently manifested in a group of employees coming together to form a formal Allyship group at New Relic. This group, comprised of over 200 employees, is a means through which employees can express their support for their URM co-workers, learn what it means to be an ally and have candid discussions about what the role of an ally looks like in today’s climate. At New Relic, we strive to empower our employees to take action into their own hands by equipping them with the tools to speak up and be heard.
