National Collegiate Athletic Association
The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a nonprofit association committed to providing opportunity for NCAA college student-athletes. The 500-person NCAA national office, located in Indianapolis since 1999, supports NCAA colleges, universities, athletic conferences and affiliated organizations across the country in the day-to-day running of college sports. It also is responsible for conducting 89 championships in 23 sports for its three divisions every year. Collectively, the membership works to help more than 450,000 NCAA student-athletes gain skills to succeed on the field, in the classroom and for life.
