Montserrat College of Art
Montserrat College of Art is a unique independent not-for-profit college of visual art and design. Founded in the 1960s as a school of visual arts, Montserrat is a vibrant and close-knit community of 390 students and approximately 63 full and part-time faculty engaged in a broad array of artistic study and expression. Strong support and mentorship from faculty nurtures the artistic development of students and these are the hallmarks of the Montserrat experience. The College’s curriculum includes a four-year bachelor of fine arts degree program, a pre-college program, continuing education offerings, study abroad programs, and internship/work opportunities. A fifth-year certification program in Art Education is also offered. Montserrat is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
