For 50+ years, Monroe Plan for Medical Care, a not-for-profit health care services organization, has been improving the health status of recipients of government sponsored health insurance. We have consistently been recognized as a “safety net” leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes & reducing disparities.
In 1970, Monroe Plan established an Independent Physician Association (IPA) uniquely dedicated to serving government sponsored program recipients. Today, the IPA represents 12,000 providers in Western NY. Monroe Plan also has a growing Health Home Care Management Agency (CMA) that contracts with Health Home Hubs serving 27 counties & 3000 members. Our CMA is widely recognized for providing expert & empathetic support to members while positively impacting health care outcomes.
Finally, Monroe Plan is the parent company of MP CareSolutions, which provides expert & impactful Care & Utilization Management, Analytics, & Provider Network services to healthcare companies.
