Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly
Ready? Set. Mo! From Hunt, Ingram, or Kerrville turn onto FM 1340. The drive is calm. The well-paved winding road with hill country vistas, wildflowers, and river crossings past miles of cedar lined fencing, grazing longhorns, and happy horses melts the daily stress. A final bridge across the Guadalupe River, ends with a turn as you enter the ornate gates of Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly, fondly called Mo-Ranch. Welcome home. Mo-Ranch is a camp and conference center in Hunt over 75 years strong. Mo-Ranch operates on 500 lush acres at the headwaters of the sparkling Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country and is open year-round. Guests of all religions, race, gender and socio-economic status are welcome. Proudly, Mo-Ranch attracts guests from across the country and currently serves over 35,000 guests annually. Employees, much like guests, have the opportunity to enjoy all of the amenities. Offering lifelong memories to all who visit, Mo offers a desired work-life balance, plus!
Purpose
Since 1949, our purpose has been to open our gates and set the table for all who seek a place to meet, stay, play and pray year-round. While the property is sacred, without the dedicated, talented and hardworking people behind it, Mo-Ranch is just beautiful land. Mo-Ranch recognizes the importance of taking care of employees so that they can take care of others. Serving guests for over 75 years, now over 35,000 annually, would not be possible without the commitment and service of staff. Our hallmark is teamwork. It is not uncommon to see the CFO flipping hotel rooms when check-in times are tight. But it starts even higher. When the Board of Trustees visit, they invite every staff member to join them for lunch so they can better understand each department that makes this place run and thank them. Twice per year, Mo-Ranch ceases all operations for a company party, in which executives and hourly employees alike celebrate their hard work together with games, food, music and prizes. A familiar refrain is that this feels more like a family gathering than a corporate event. Importantly, employees are regularly encouraged to take care of themselves so that they can better take care of guests whether that be making use of generous benefit packages to look after their physical, mental or spiritual wellbeing or simply taking non-clock time to attend a weekly worship service together to uplift each other. We feel valued every day and have a clear role and purpose at our workplace.
Vision
Our clear vision is that the invitation to Mo-Ranch has been extended with no expiration date. A true place to meet you where you are. Especially as a new career.
Mission
The mission of Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly is to foster growth in God through Jesus Christ by sharing its unique living, learning, Christian environment.
