McKinney ISD
Founded in 1848, McKinney ISD provides a public education for Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. The district serves students in McKinney, Texas and in parts of five other communities. MISD has 20 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools, two alternative campuses and one early childhood education center. MISD's 68 facilities covering more than 4 million square feet on 603 acres of land. The district is known for academic excellence with all three high schools being ranked in the top five percent of the nation's high schools according to U.S. News & World Report.
