Purpose
In 1978, a new company called Mattamy Homes built and sold a single home. Founder Peter Gilgan named the company after his two eldest children – Matt and Amy. This bringing together of family and business continues to be at the heart of Mattamy’s culture, which is cultivated and lived every day by our 2,700+ team members.
Mattamy has grown to become the largest family-owned homebuilder in North America, with operations across the continent.
