Purpose
For several decades, the roofing industry had been stagnant. New technologies had made the technical parts of the job easier and more accurate, but the fundamental way of doing business remained the same. They needed to be experts in securing and retaining clients, which was a process Kirt knew well enough and he was willing to walk away from a successful 20-year career to bet on it. Build a team, equip them for success with scripts and universal sales techniques, and teach them specific product knowledge when they come across the need for it.
Building a team is the hardest part, but Kirt developed a winning talent acquisition strategy for Linear early on. Leveraging both strong personal networks and the power of the online social network, Linear recruits aggressively, but only occasionally actively. By sharing success stories and creating excitement around the idea of roofing as a career path, Linear attracts motivated, success-minded people from all walks of life. From there, it’s up to the highly refined training process to equip them to win.
