LifeSource, Upper Midwest Organ Procurement Organization, Inc.
LifeSource is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and healing lives through organ, eye and tissue donation in the Upper Midwest. We’re dedicated to working with our hospital and community partners to support donor families, facilitate the donation of organs, eyes and tissues to transplant recipients and encouraging the 7.2 million people in our communities to register as donors. Donation is a rare event, compounded by the sad reality that there are many more people waiting for a transplant than there are organs available. Anyone can register as a donor, regardless of age or health condition. We encourage people who support donation to do two things: register as a donor on their driver’s license, ID card or online at DonateLifeMN.org and share their decision with their family.
Put simply, the purpose of LifeSource is to save and heal lives and is at the core of our mission, vision and values, providing the framework for our work.
Everyone shares the gift of life.
We save lives and offer hope and healing through excellence in organ, eye and tissue donation.
Additional Culture Details
At LifeSource, our values drive our culture; they are not just words on a wall, they are words we live by. We also invest heavily in professional development and employee satisfaction. We host quarterly all-team meetings with the goal of educating, inspiring and engaging our team members. These meetings provide information across the organization plus outside speakers that share education and a connect to our mission and purpose. We also have a Quality of Work Life (QWL) committee that plans fun events and team building opportunities throughout the year so that team members have an opportunity to engage across departments outside of their day-to-day work. Our Wellbeing committee focuses on total wellbeing, and provides resources and engagement opportunities around physical, emotional, career, financial and social/community health.
- We fulfill our responsibility as stewards of the gift of donation by treating our colleagues, partners, and customers with thoughtfulness and compassion. We conduct ourselves with integrity and honesty always.
