KL Engineering’s company culture centers on valuing relationships. Kim Lobdell started this company 32 years ago and credits her employees as the drivers behind the company’s success. She says, “Developing relationships with them and learning what makes them tick in their life is what helps me to be a better leader." She leads by example and doesn’t ask her employees to do anything she would not do herself. In 2018, she expanded ownership of the firm, beginning an internal ownership transition which currently has nine shareholders. Our company leaders work together to maintain the company values, while further developing into new markets.
