For a century, the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh has been the central fundraising and community building organization for the Pittsburgh Jewish community. We raise more than $30 million each year, some on behalf of our partner agencies, with Development efforts encompassing our annual campaign, endowments, government and foundation grants, and supplemental gifts over and above donors' annual commitments. Our funding facilitates health and human services through 10 local and 2 overseas partner agencies and dozens of other programs that provide assistance to the vulnerable and offer educational and cultural programming that enriches lives. The Federation also engages local leaders in taking a broad look at current and anticipated needs, so that we might plan how we can most effectively serve our community and region in the coming years. We also convene our agencies and local organizations and foster collaboration, helping them to ensure that needs are met with the greatest efficiency.
