Itineris
In 2006 nine families faced a crisis: What would happen to their children on the autism spectrum, once they exited the school system as adults? Research revealed that there were no specialized services available for adults on the autism spectrum in the Baltimore region. How would their journey toward adulthood be addressed?
Out of this crisis, Itineris was born. Today, the dream of these families, professionals, and self-advocates has come true. Itineris serves over 100 adults with autism. Itineris offers a day program, personal supports services, behavioral services, community integration services, employment services, and a community living (residential) program.
