Additional Culture Details
Inland was formed by four Chicago Public School teachers in 1968. The founding principals, Dan Goodwin, Bob Baum, Joe Cosenza and Bob Parks, began investing in real estate part-time to earn extra cash. Their first investors were other teachers, family members and friends. This personal connection and responsibility to investors created a culture of putting investors first, which endures today across Inland’s business entities. Many Inland employees invest alongside investors – standing shoulder-to-shoulder. Over the years, Inland has developed lasting partnerships and expanded product offerings to meet the needs of investors. Inland believes that success has roots in strong, healthy communities, and Inland takes an active role in improving the towns and cities where its employees live and work. Inland and Dan Goodwin, have received numerous awards for their commitment to the real estate industry, investors, communities and affordable housing. Inland is a three-time recipient of the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics (2009, 2014, 2017) and is the first corporate inductee into the Chicago Association of REALTORS Hall of Fame.
