Our mission is to nurture purpose and advance economic opportunity for all through individualized employment and career services. For 57+ years, we have worked with individuals in the Twin Cities, whose job opportunities, financial security, and stability have been shaped by systemic inequities and situational barriers.

Hired’s vision is empowered people and families, a prepared workforce, and an inclusive economy. We maintain a solid focus on preparing people for full participation in the economy with family-sustaining jobs that offer benefits and the potential for building a career and equitable wealth.

Hired works with 4,300+ individuals each year through four employment programs: Career Pathways (free, short-term job training for high-demand fields), Youth Services, Adult and Dislocated Worker Employment Services, and Family Stability (employment counseling for families receiving MFIP).  

Tailored for each of the core audiences we serve, Hired provides Barrier Alleviation; Individualized Support and Planning, Life and Career -Focused Coaching; and Career Training, Education and Work Experience.

Hired is committed to having a staff and board that reflect the diversity of the communities we work with, and it is a part of our commitment to delivering culturally responsive services. Nearly half (49%) of our staff and 22% of senior leaders identify as BIPOC, along with more than a third (38%) of the board of directors, including our board chair. Additionally, to provide high quality services for non-native English speakers, Hired’s multilingual staff speak ten languages in addition to English (including Hmong, Somali, and Spanish), and we engage interpreters, as needed.
