The Hillsborough County Tax Collector's Office is operated under the leadership of elected Tax Collector Nancy C. Millan. The Tax Collector's Office is responsible for collecting local property, business, and tourist development taxes; processing motor vehicle and vessel titles and registrations; as well as issuing driver licenses, hunting & fishing licenses, birth certificates, concealed weapons permits, and vehicle for hire permits. The dollars collected in taxes and fees are distributed by the Tax Collector to state and local government agencies to fund vital services for citizens. The Tax Collector's Office collects and distributes approximately $3.1 billion in taxes and processes over 2.4 million transactions annually. This work is performed by our awesome team of 402 employees serving 1.5 million Hillsborough County residents. Our team strives to deliver amazing service experiences to the citizens we serve while ensuring fiscal accountability to Hillsborough County taxpayers.
