In 2018, the affinity groups program was started to unite Harkins employees together across many departments and geographic locations. Led by employees and supported by executive champions, these groups connect employees with similar backgrounds or interested to have a powerful influence in the workplace. Current affinity groups include: Equity & Inclusion, Women's Roundtable, Harkins Young Professional Experience (HYPE), Small & Minority Business Partnership and Harkins Warriors (current & former military personnel).
In 2020, we launched a Wellness Committee, whose membership promotes a a culture of physical, psychological, and emotional wellbeing for our employees.
In 2021, we branded our community service efforts as "Harkins has Heart" to have a greater presence in the communities we are building in. This aligns with our 2021 strategic plan goal to have 100% employee participation in a community service effort.
