We are the Girl Scouts of Orange County. We are united by our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. In Orange County, 15,000 girls from every social, cultural, economic, and developmental sector are building the values and skills to explore their ambitions, realize their dreams, and become leaders in our communities. Our 10,000 adult volunteers and members serve as inspiring mentors, advisors, and role models for our girls. Staff members play a critical role in recruiting, training, and supporting adult volunteers and girls. Together, we focus on ensuring that every girl has access to the life-changing opportunities the Girl Scout Leadership Experience provides to form lifelong friendships, build confidence, and take action on issues important to her. With programs in every community across Orange County, Girl Scouts have unique experiences to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.
Purpose
We BELIEVE... in the power of girls. Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
