As a trusted national nonprofit focused on financial wellness for everyone, people have turned to us for more than 60 years as their guide through financial crises: overwhelming debt, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or credit challenges.
Today, we work to strengthen financial wellness at every step of the financial journey. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people improve their financial health by working with us.
Headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, we have branch offices throughout the United States. We deliver licensed services online, by phone, and in person. We are also a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC).

Additional Culture Details
GreenPath is committed to I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access).
IDEA is essential to create and sustain a respectful, inclusive, and empathetic culture where our employees are inspired to be their whole selves at work. Through this we will be better able to contribute towards the financial wellness of our clients and the diverse communities we serve.
Diversity, inclusion, equity and access provide for a variety of viewpoints and improves the workplace culture for all employees.
To move toward inclusion, we are committed to fostering a culture that acknowledges and values all of our histories and life experiences.
We have been on a cultural journey to infuse human-centered design thinking into our DNA through training and practice. We hired a behavioral economist to help us understand why people make the financial choices they do. We invested in empathy coaching. Our team launched a “Client Love” project.
These creative methods and practices keep us connected to what people need. Anchoring our work in human behavior ensures that our ideas are effective in the real world, not just in theory.
We combine nearly 60 years of experience in credit counseling, debt management and personal finance education with a people-centered creative culture. Through direct services, partnerships, innovation and influence, we are transforming the culture of financial wellness in our country.
