Grant Wood Area Education Agency is one of Iowa’s nine Area Education Agencies, and its team of more than 500 professionals provide school improvement services for students, teachers and administrators, and early childhood services for non-school aged infants and children. Grant Wood AEA staff, schools and families in a seven county service area in east central Iowa collaborate to help all children reach their potential.
As an intermediate educational service agency, Grant Wood AEA offers services that can be provided most equitably, efficiently and economically on a regional or cooperative basis among school districts. These services include direct student-centered support for children with special needs, and professional development, school management services, curriculum planning and consultation, digital learning and many other services for public and private schools.
