For more than 38 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities.” Gleaners helps alleviate hunger by providing the equivalent of nearly 77,000 meals per day to people who otherwise cannot afford the food they need through their network of community partners. Gleaners nourishes and educates nearly 144,871 children a year through programs such as School-Based Mobile Pantries, SmartBites, BackPack Program, Cooking Matters™, Summer Food Service Program, and Kids Helping Kids®. These programs provide healthy food to children through school- and community-based programs and provide volunteer and educational opportunities for young people to learn about hunger and philanthropy.
