Founded in 1973 by Roy Gallaher, a UT electrical engineering graduate, Gallaher and Associates, Inc. has grown from humble beginnings as a fire alarm manufacturer rep firm to a regional integrated technology solutions provider within the life safety industry, serving the Southeastern U.S. with offices strategically located in the Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga markets. An early milestone that enhanced the company’s reputation for quality service and attention to detail was serving as the fire alarm installer for the Chinese and Korean Pavilions at the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville. An enduring family business, Roy’s son Tom joined the company full-time after graduating from Radford University as a scholar-athlete basketball player for the Division I Highlanders, and in 2010 became President and CEO. Gallaher has steadily grown from 19 employees in 1993 to approximately 80 employees today, delivering successful life safety solutions to thousands of area clients.
