Our mission is to inspire hope in our communities by providing food to nourish Delawareans, while collaborating on long-term solutions to hunger and poverty. We work to achieve this, primarily in Delaware, by: Providing low- and no-cost food to qualified feeding programs throughout the greater Delaware region; Informing the greater Delaware community about hunger issues and food security; Mobilizing support for anti-hunger efforts; Training and empowering under- and unemployed individuals to fill needed positions within the food service industry; And developing and implementing statewide feeding programs to assist low-income families, individuals and children.
Purpose
We take a multi-pronged approach to alleviating food insecurity in our community. We call it Food For Today and Food For Tomorrow. While our main mission is to provide immediate emergency food assistance to our neighbors in need, we work to empower neighbors through economic mobility programs so they are no longer in need of our services.
