Enbridge is a North American leader in delivering energy, and one of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations. As a transporter of energy, Enbridge operates the world’s longest and most complex crude oil and liquids transportation system across Canada and the U.S. As a distributor of energy, Enbridge owns and operates Canada’s largest natural gas distribution company, serving more than two million customers in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and New York State. As a generator of energy, Enbridge has invested more than $3-billion in wind, solar, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and other alternative energy technology projects – all of which have the capacity to generate more than 1,800 megawatts (MW) of zero-emission energy, and provide enough electricity to supply nearly 600,000 homes. Enbridge also has a significant and growing natural-gas gathering, transmission, and midstream business (transporting about 15 per cent of Texas natural gas production), and an increasing involvement in power transmission. Enbridge employs more than 11,000 people, primarily in Canada and the U.S., and has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers on 12 occasions.
