In 1904, the law firm known today as Duane Morris was founded in Philadelphia as a four-attorney partnership that helped clients with any of the legal needs of the day, such as negotiating contracts between local business owners or handling the property issues regarding the sale of farmland. Our clients’ needs have dramatically changed a century later—with our present-day lawyers more likely to negotiate multimillion-dollar transactions between global corporations or handle IP issues regarding the licensing of biotechnology innovations. The firm has grown to be among the 100 largest in the world, with more than 800 attorneys across 29 domestic and international offices, representing clients across an array of industries and from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
