The mission of the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office Inc. (DACCO) is to work for a drug-free community – one person, one family at a time. An integral part of the community since 1973, DACCO is the largest comprehensive substance use disorders service provider of prevention, intervention and treatment programming in the county. DACCO seeks to change lives by treating substance use and mental health disorders, while also addressing other issues (education, job preparedness, childcare) that affect an individual or family’s ability to achieve stability and a healthy lifestyle. Last year, DACCO (Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office) served 10,274 clients in Hillsborough County, with a projection of impacting 20,000 (including general community outreach and affected family and friends).
