Des Moines University (DMU) is a health sciences university founded in 1898 in Iowa’s capital city. Its three colleges offer eight graduate degree programs that prepare tomorrow’s health care providers and managers, researchers and health sciences educators. DMU’s total annual enrollment is approximately 1,600 full- and part-time students. Of its 13,000 living alumni, 2,500 are practice in Iowa. DMU is the second oldest osteopathic school in the country, the largest medical school in Iowa and one of the top 20 largest medical schools, out of 155 schools (for D.O.s or M.D.s), in the nation.
