Founded in 1969, Des Moines Truck Brokers, Inc. (DMTB) celebrates our 50th year of providing award winning third-party logistics services from our headquarters in Norwalk, IA. Our talented team specializes in arranging transportation of temperature-controlled food shipments throughout the United States. We partner with all parties in the supply chain from coast to coast, but we’re very proud of the relationships we share with central Iowa businesses, many of which span decades. As one of the oldest freight brokers in the country, we’ve enjoyed double digit growth in each of the last three years thanks to our people whom we consider to be best in the industry. DMTB’s growth is a testament to the culture and values of our group who play by the “Rules of the Game”: Respect, Understanding, Accountability, Fun, and Communication. This culture is critical in a fast-paced environment where new employees work alongside seasoned vets. Additional Culture Details
The culture at DMTB is one of the main reasons for our success over the past few years. When plans were made to grow and bring in people with various backgrounds and experience, we understood that a healthy and productive workplace was very important. Every year we review the company values with the entire company. We take a vote to make sure everyone is on board with these values and they are only ratified if the vote passes unanimously. We use the term 100/0 frequently in office communication and group meetings. 100/0 stands for 100% effort with 0 excuses. Our team has adopted this as their credo and the results have been a great thing for our employees and business.
