Working from a faith-based perspective, Dallas International University trains men and women to work with minority cultures and languages around the world. With still 2,000 languages that exist in an oral only form, we train students to learn the language, develop an orthography (alphabet), a grammar and a dictionary. Creating a literacy program and coming along side local artists to to help them develop their artist genres are part of aiding these marginalized people groups to preserve and enhance their language and culture.
Purpose
To provide training and research opportunities leading to degrees in applied linguistics, culture studies, and development of languages.
Vision
In the next five years to pour 1,000 well educated experts into service with minority language people groups.
