Dallas Children's Advocacy Center
DCAC is the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute and provide healing services for child abuse cases in Dallas County. We reduce the re-victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with our distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases. We are a national and international leader in the Children's Advocacy Center movement, recognized for our expertise in the identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse cases; cutting-edge clinical services and programs for victims and their non-offending family members; and our community and professional training programs. Everyone involved in DCAC's work shares a common set of core values:
The children come first in all that we do.
We operate as a seamless team.
Each of us acts with a servant's heart.

Purpose
Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center coordinates the investigation, prosecution, and healing services for the most severe cases of child abuse in Dallas County – those that rise to the level of a criminal offense. Each year, DCAC serves over 7,300 children (and their non-offending family members) who were sexually abused, severely physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime.
DCAC coordinates a multidisciplinary team approach in response to allegations of severe child abuse in Dallas County. We facilitate a comprehensive, coordinated approach to these cases that not only results in more successful investigation and prosecution outcomes, but also provides a better and less traumatic response to the child victims and their families. The MDT is coordinated by the DCAC Coordination team that includes forensic interviewers, mental health therapist, family assistance case managers, and researchers.
