CSI Support & Development Services
CSI Support & Development is a non-profit corporation that specializes in developing and managing affordable housing for low-income senior citizens. Our buildings are unique because they are managed cooperatively by residents who live there. We support our volunteers through an intense training program and opportunites to meet and net work with each other.
CSI has twenty-five buildings in the Detroit tri-county area and HUD subsidy for residents who qualify is available in all properties. There is one additional building in the Kalamazoo area. CSI is also located in Massachusetts, Maryland and California and has been in business since 1945. Our first of 60 co-op buildings opened in 1965.

Purpose
To develop a strong central consumer cooperative that provides quality, affordable, secure housing for seniors and the physically disabled allowing members to continue an active , independent lifestyle.
To encourage members to work toward the advancement of the whole by sharing their ideas, experiences and talents.

Additional Culture Details
CSI staff members have a concern for their communities.
For the holiday season, we adopted ten children through the Detroit Rescue Mission . We provided each child with warm winter gear, clothing, books, hygiene products and of course a few toys.
We also collected four boxes of food and cash donation for a local food bank.
Also, throughout the year, we held fundraiser raffles and raised money for Gleaners Food Bank.
