Cousins Subs is a Wisconsin-based, family-owned, fast-casual sub shop established in 1972 by Bill Specht and his cousin, and is driven by the mission to Believe in Better – both in the quality of food we serve and in the communities we support. Cousins Subs and its franchisees operate nearly 100 sub sandwich shops throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, providing guests with quality deli fresh and made to order grilled subs using only the freshest ingredients on our signature bread baked daily.

At the store level, all crew members receive enticing benefits. They are treated to a free meal each shift they work, and, if they crave our product off-duty, they can use their 50% off-duty discount. Salaried managers earn paid time off, paid holidays and are eligible for generous bonuses. Those salaried managers are only scheduled for a 45-hour workweek - which is uncommonly low in the industry – because we want all employees to enjoy a work-life balance. Our corporate staff members enjoy quarterly pulses, which are days filled with a short presentation on the state of the business, recognition of workplace anniversaries, and a fun team-building activity. Additionally, our corporate team enjoys themed potlucks, unwinding with coworkers in the office test kitchen via happy hours, birthday and anniversary celebrations, holiday parties and fun outings like Brewers games. Monday through Thursday, all corporate employees can order whatever they would like from our signature menu for lunch. Their meal is then delivered to the office completely free of charge. If you ever stop by, you will likely catch employees sporting unique Cousins Subs apparel which they can order for free twice per year. What truly sets Cousins Subs apart is our culture. We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly company that fosters an environment of fun and service to our community.
