The Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) proudly
provides water, sewer and stormwater services to a
population of close to 300,000 residents throughout
Clayton County and its six cities. Today’s authority is built
on a solid foundation that was started in 1955 and laid by
staff and board members with a drive for finding innovative
ways to push through barriers. This drive continues today
as we excel even during these challenge times.

Purpose
At the Clayton County Water Authority, our purpose is to serve our customers and community with excellence, guided by integrity in every action and decision. We are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable services while fostering a workplace culture that values our people and makes CCWA a great place to work.
Vision
Utilizing Innovation to Provide Industry-Leading Service for Our Community. Clayton County is situated just south of Atlanta, Georgia with Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport located in the very northern part of the County. The county is one of Georgia’s smallest counties in terms of land size with an area of only 143 square miles.
Mission
Providing quality water and quality services to our community. Despite having limited surface or ground water supplies available, the Water Authority has developed a truly sustainable water supply through the utilization of treatment wetlands for the recycling of treated wastewater.
