They oversee Clerk’s office finance and Comptroller related duties as custodian of all county funds, and collect and distribute state and county fines, fees, court costs, registries, and service charges. While Green’s main operation is headquartered in the Clay County Courthouse, clerks also operate branch offices in Orange Park for citizens’ convenience along with special program offices in Green Cove Springs for Historical Archives and Teen Court.

Lead by Clay County Clerk of Court and Comptroller Tara S. Green, an elected constitutional officer serving her third term in office, our personnel take to heart their role as public servants, never hesitating to go the extra mile to assist their fellow citizens. Our culture reflects our commitment to providing much-needed services to citizens and legal professionals alike. Green and her executive team oversee clerks and other professionals whose common goals include helping citizens successfully interact with the local court system, accurately recording millions of official records and supporting the judiciary in court proceedings, maintaining evidence, assist law enforcement and crime victims. Everything in our judicial system begins and ends with Clerk’s Office services in some way, so our culture of excellence is highlighted in all we do. Furthermore, having oversight of finance and Comptroller related duties as custodian of all county funds, collecting and distributing state and county fines, fees, court costs, registries and service charges. While Green’s main operation is headquartered in the Clay County Courthouse, clerks also operate a branch office in Orange Park for citizens’ convenience along with special program offices at the Historic Triangle site. We strongly believe in the importance of community outreach, raising awareness about our legal system, domestic violence prevention, at-risk youth services, hunger prevention and history education.
