The City of Parkland, Florida has a population of approximately 35,000 and is located in northwest Broward County. Established in 1963, the City has grown from humble beginnings while remaining environmentally proud and is home to nine parks and five public schools. The City is known for its hometown feel and its family-oriented City events. Parkland shines as a City of green, is dedicated to protecting its parks, and is bordered on the west by the Everglades. Pine Trails Park in the heart of the City is one of Broward County’s premier parks and is host to numerous events throughout the year. More than its landmarks, Parkland is defined by its residents who seem to always come together to support one another.
