Choptank Transport is a nationwide 3PL, or third-party logistics company. 3PLs help shippers find the right mode of transportation for their particular kind of freight, such as refrigerated truckload, dry van, less-than-truckload, rail, sea or air cargo. Choptank Transport has over 13,000 carriers under contract so we can find the shipper the right truck in the right place at the right time for the best price.

Core values are part of a company’s DNA and become an important part of their culture. They define what an organization stands for, highlighting an expected and ultimate set of behaviors and skills. A company’s values lie at the core of its culture. Values are fundamental, enduring, and actionable. Driving priorities and decisions, values help determine how a company spends its time and money. The actual values of an organization are determined mainly by where it invests its resources and how its employees behave, not what is said or what’s posted on company walls. Choptank takes its Core Values very seriously.

Each Core Value is based on a set of principles and skills that are the foundation of that Core Value and what is needed to “live” that Core Value each day. In order to instill these values and principles into the fabric of Choptank we focus on one Core Value each quarter, one principle each month and recognize employees who demonstrate the current Core Value we are focusing on for that quarter. These values allow us to work together towards common goals, while adhering to these principles and values for guidance.
We have a great culture at Choptank. We have our own ChopOlympics in the summer, competitive contests, massage days, food trucks, catered lunches, monthly awards, and other internal and external (community involvement) events.
