Maria Burke, RN founder of Celtic Angels Home Health Care Inc. was raised in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. She is the eldest of six and immigrated to the United States in 1988. Celtic Angels Home Health Care, Inc. was born out of a deep inspiration she felt and have held on to ever since her grandfather Pat Barrett took her along with him to the local hospital where he worked as an Orderly. He'd play his accordion while walking up and down the center of the wards and encourage the patients to sing along. She distinctly remembers how much joy his efforts brought to those hospital patients in the crowded wards -- sometimes 40 people to a room.
She pursued a nursing degree and worked in Boston Medical center. Maria then served as a visiting Nurse and absolutely loved home health care. Celtic Angels Inc. was founded in 2005 with the amazing support of Joe Burke Maria’s husband and her children Darren, Emma and Eden a truly family affair!!! Celtic Angels helps patients with a variety of services from Certified Nursing assistants, Home Health Aides to skilled nursing where we also have a Nurse practitioner and social worker on staff.
