St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center®, holds Magnet® designation & has been ranked one of the Best Hospitals in America by U.S. News & World Report. Good Samaritan is the first Level II Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center on LI’s south shore. In 2017, St. Catherine & St. Joseph earned the HANYS Pinnacle Award for Quality & Patient Safety, with St. Joseph winning again in 2018. St. Charles is highly accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Mercy has held the Outstanding Achievement Award from the ACS's Commission on Cancer for nine consecutive years.
Maryhaven programs are CARF accredited. Our Lady of Consolation was named a NYS DOH Top-Performing Nursing Home & all CHS skilled nursing & rehabilitation facilities have 5 stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for quality measures.
