Catholic Charities
The heart of our work at Catholic Charities is our belief in the dignity of every person, that each one of us has worth and is deserving of care and respect. It is our priority to serve people affected by poverty and it is our responsibility to work for the common good. The mission of Catholic Charities is to “provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice, and to call upon others to do the same”. In 2020, we mark 100 Years of Service in southeast Wisconsin. Responding to the needs of people in our local communities, we measurably improve the lives of those we serve. We provide strength-based and evidence-based social service programs to anyone in need regardless of race, religion, country of origin, physical and intellectual ability, or financial circumstances. Each year, we make an impact in the lives of over 42,000 women, men, and children.
Purpose
Since 1920, our culture at Catholic Charities has been defined by our mission to “provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same.” We provide several social services that focus on serving the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized in communities across the 10 counties of Southeastern Wisconsin.
Vision
Our vision is to measurably improve the lives of those we serve, empower them to reach their full potential and to help reduce poverty. We commit ourselves to respond to the needs of the poor – especially the most vulnerable – by providing effective compassionate services.
Mission
Inspired by Christ’s call to serve, our mission is to provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same.
Values
