Cascade AIDS Project
Cascade AIDS Project’s mission is to support and empower all people with or affected by HIV, reduce stigma, and provide the LGBTQ+ community with compassionate healthcare.
Founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1985, Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is the oldest and largest community-based provider of HIV testing, housing, support, education, and advocacy in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
For people living with HIV, CAP helps people put their lives back together. We find people housing, link them to medical care, and help negotiate the countless issues that make the difference between giving up and going on. For people at risk of contracting HIV—virtually everyone who’s sexually active—CAP offers rapid HIV tests and risk reduction counseling and hosts a full menu of educational programs and resources, including the statewide Oregon HIV/STD Hotline.
