Additional Culture Details
For over 45 years, Campbell has been a pioneer, taking a leadership role in educating the industry on the value of adding alternative assets to a traditional investment portfolio through managed funds. They strike a balance in maintaining two types of cultures: research culture and social culture. Campbell’s research culture is both collaborative and competitive; something deeply rooted in striving to remain an innovative leader in disciplined quantitative strategy development. Their social culture places a sharp emphasis on work-life balance and engagement. As Campbell looks to the next 45 years, they recognize that maintaining the best talent includes putting a premium on the firm’s social environment and the overall wellness of an employee.
Campbell supports and encourages employee engagement with use of an online social recognition platform called, You Earned It. Here, employees recognize and reward colleagues by way of a points system that is redeemable for things such as gift cards and time off. You can earn points for, not only work related successes, but also for engaging in wellness activities and community service days. Your commitment to Campbell and to yourself are equally recognized.
Campbell recognizes employees are happier and more productive when healthier. Some examples in support of this notion include the build-out of a state of the art onsite fitness center and having an onsite café where employees can chat with colleagues, celebrate wins, or host themed trivia nights. Both are intentional cultural decisions as they lend to building a socialized, more collaborative culture.
In support of our wellness culture, we have a team of 12 employees who participate in our wellness committee called the Heart Team. They support and facilitate activities, communication and events relating to our overall well-being. Wellness also includes a focus on financial health, and we offer various training activities in support of this. Some key topics include saving for retirement, maximizing your 401(k) contributions, college savings plans, and creating a will, estate and trust.
