Beneficial Bank
At Beneficial Bank, we’ve been in business for over 160 years doing basically the same thing day in and day out…helping the people of Philadelphia do what’s right with their money.
Our focus, since we opened our doors, has been the pursuit of a deep knowledge and understanding of the Philadelphia community, the people who live and work here and the businesses that thrive here. The more we know and learn, the more we are able to create the right products and offer the best advice for saving, investing, borrowing, building and growing.
It’s a simple philosophy: If we do right by our customers, they’ll do right by us.
And it’s served us well since 1853.

Purpose
We are a bank, in the traditional and original sense of the word. We are a place where money is kept safe, loaned, managed and made easily accessible for customers. We are proud to be bankers. And even more proud of our 164 year partnership with the people and businesses of Philadelphia. Time and experience has taught us to constantly pursue knowledge about finance, our customers and the Philadelphia community. We believe that the more knowledge we can share with our customers, the more we can learn and understand about each other, then the more we can help each other grow and succeed. That pursuit of knowledge helps us make smart financial decisions together with our customers and our community. It helps us achieve our goal of being…The bank that does the right thing.
Vision
Do What’s Right. This vision guides every customer relationship, every business decision, how we contribute to our communities and how we treat each other.
Mission
We are bankers who always try to do the right thing. We have over 160 years of knowledge about making smart financial decisions and we share that knowledge with our customers, local businesses and the community to help them succeed. Which, in turn, helps us succeed.
