Beebe Medical Center is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital with 210 licensed beds. Beebe Medical Center has been recognized for the quality of the healthcare it provides and over the years has received several quality awards and designations.
Beebe Medical Center received the 2013 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence™ from HealthGrades®, making Beebe Medical Center the only hospital on Delmarva to receive the award 4 years in a row.
Beebe Medical Center offers progressive and comprehensive medical care that includes an open-heart surgery program, cardiac intervention, cancer treatment, orthopaedic surgery, gastroenterology, bariatric, women’s health and emergency medicine.
Beebe Medical Center offers an array of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services. The Tunnell Cancer Center, houses the first radiation oncology treatment center in Sussex County.
Beebe operates the only hospital-based School of Nursing in the State of Delaware, the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center.
It is certified by the Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and designated by The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. It also has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), and named a Center of Excellence in Women’s Health by the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS).
