The Bedford City School District is a public school district that serves more than 33,000 individuals in Bedford, Bedford Heights, Oakwood Village, and Walton Hills, Ohio. Within the 22-square-mile district are six schools, including two primary schools—Central and Glendale; two intermediate schools—Carylwood and Columbus; one middle school—Heskett; and Bedford High School. Our mission statement is: “The mission of the Bedford City Schools—a district rich in tradition and diversity—is to educate all students to their potential, so they will become responsible, resourceful adults who appreciate the differences among people, by providing a well-disciplined, safe, secure learning environment, utilizing a progressive, comprehensive curriculum facilitated by highly qualified, caring personnel, incorporating state-of-the-art technology in partnership with our four communities.”
