In 2014, Bank of Georgetown continued its annual support of community celebrations such as Clarendon Day, Taste of Georgetown, Taste of Bethesda and Taste of Friendship Heights.
In addition to sponsoring many Children’s National Medical Center events this year, Bank of Georgetown provided support to the emergency department staff by donating craft projects and activity books to keep children and caregivers occupied while waiting in the Emergency Dept. Employees also rolled hundreds of giant coloring posters which were distributed in the ED over Thanksgiving.
Shortly after Bank of Georgetown was named a 2014 Top Workplace, a team of employees made surprise visits to the 11 banking locations around MD, DC and VA. They circulated the crystal Top Workplaces award so that every employee could share in the honor and delivered ice cream treats as a bonus!
The Arlington, VA branch celebrated Halloween with lots of little superheroes and princesses, handing out candy as elementary school children passed by during their costume parade through local businesses.
