The Associated Construction Company was incorporated in New London, CT on August 4, 1942, by Angelo J.M Giardini. It was originally founded as a military defense contractor & constructed various base facilities for the US Navy and its submarine base in Gorton, CT. With a growing need for housing, Associated increasingly expanded into residential construction.
In 1946, Associated relocated its headquarters to Hartford, CT to help broaden & expand its client base for construction services throughout CT. The firm’s reputation for quality construction work grew allowing for various opportunities for Associated to grow its business and clientele.
During Thomas M. Giardidi’s tenure, the firm’s construction management & private sector business grew dramatically & expanded into even further markets including broadcast & data facilities for national and international corporate clients.
