Annkissam LLC
Since 2007, Annkissam has been helping people who are aging or have disabilities thrive in their homes and communities by providing robust software for Home and Community-Based Services providers so they can do more with less. Our affordable, high-quality software streamlines complex and ever-changing operations so that our clients can help individuals flourish at home instead of in nursing homes or institutions. We are national leaders in software for self-direction, Medicaid billing and shared living, serving clients in 27 states.
Annkissam is a self-funded, family-owned software company and our leadership has been built from within. All but two staff started entry-level at Annkissam including our CEO. Our leadership deeply understands the work here because they have done it themselves. Our highly conscientious and intellectually curious staff are drawn to this work where they solve complex problems and make a positive difference in people’s lives. We help organizations that help others in long-term relationships with clients and staff that reflect our values of Quality, Honesty and Kindness.

We have provided additional PTO in varying increments throughout the crisis to allow our employees the time they need to care for themselves and their loved ones
During the crises, employees have arranged a number of events to keep us all close while we work remotely. Some activities have included: remote game nights, trivia contests and events called CIRCUIT BREAKERS (an acronym for Casually Introducing Relatively Creative Ultimately Indiscriminate Topics By Relaying Elective AK Expositions Remotely), where employees give short presentations on interesting subjects, which have so far included: skunk cabbage, how to make cold brew and the neuroscience of empathy.
October 22 is “Burgle Day”, a paid, floating vacation day. The founders experienced a setback in the early weeks of Annkissam and vowed to make the date a company holiday if they survived the difficulty.
Financial results are discussed openly and transparently, with a focus on helping Annkissamers understand how our financials are connected to our growth and the work that we do.
Wheel of Lunch randomly pairs two staff who are treated to lunch by the company to get to know each other better. We also host regular company lunches within randomized groups to encourage cross-functional discussion and idea-sharing.
