AMP Robotics is modernizing the world’s recycling infrastructure by applying AI and robotics to increase recycling rates and economically recover recyclables reclaimed as raw materials for the global supply chain.
Purpose
We believe technology unlocks constraints in the waste industry, and use it—namely, artificial intelligence and robotics—to pursue our mission. We apply machine learning to differentiate waste, a core capability that has been missing from the industry. By creating sensing mechanisms for waste, we can bring a wide assortment of developments already advancing in other industries to benefit the recycling industry, develop novel devices that solve key constraints, and introduce transparency to the industry to help society improve its environmental stewardship.

Peer-to-peer mentorship is an essential ingredient for growth. When the team is small enough,, culture and mentorship is osmotic. When the team grows, it’s important to be more conscious of how the organization evolves. Everyone wishes to have purpose, autonomy, and achieve self-mastery. Mentorship is a vehicle to facilitate self-mastery. When you turn everyone in the organization into both mentor and mentee, you exponentially increase the rate of learning, and consequently, the effectiveness of the team. There’s just no competing with a strong peer mentorship culture. It’s a competitive advantage in growing a performant organization quickly. As we bring new team members into the fold, the team integrates them quickly, and before long they’re contributing by mentoring someone else. With a strong peer mentorship culture, the collective capability of your organization improves by default.
We also think we stand out in that we're encouraging our employees to let us know what's important to them. This is how we ended up with so many diverse and vibrant social clubs, which gave employees new ways to engage with each other as we adjusted to a new way of working. We've also started a women's group that has gathered virtually for arts and crafts, meditation Mondays, and more.
