Amerigroup improves access to quality health care for our members by making the health care system work better and keeping it more affordable for taxpayers. In Maryland, we serve approximately 213,000 members in the Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Maryland’s Primary Adult Care (PAC) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs in 23 of the state’s 24 counties and Baltimore city. Amerigroup Maryland is the state’s largest Managed Care Organization (MCO) and is the largest MCO in Baltimore City and the counties of Baltimore, Montgomery, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel. We also offer Medicare Advantage plans in Baltimore city and seven counties in the state. Enrollees come from four different state programs.
