Our reputation as an industry leader is based on the seamless integration of systems within architecturally challenging environments. We are entrusted with designing optimal environments for scores of educational, cultural, community, and historic buildings nationwide and beyond including American Museum of Natural History, Obama Presidential Center, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Boston Public Library, Yale University Art Gallery, and National WWII Museum. In 2022, we were awarded Architectural Engineering Institute Most Innovative Project Over $100M, highlighting our inventive systems designs for Glenstone Museum. A certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) headquartered in Norwalk, CT, Altieri is noted for its multi-disciplinary expertise, “gold standard” creative design, attention to detail, outstanding team coordination, and commitment to diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities.

Altieri's employee-led Initiative Teams Program involves staff in an ongoing dialogue about the business and opportunities for improvement. Since the Program's inception 3 years ago, the efforts of the teams have enabled Altieri to incorporate new concepts, processes, and activities throughout the firm. Though staff participation is entirely voluntary, over 80% of employees are are members of at least one team! According to Philip Steiner, P.E., Altieri's Managing Director, the Program is leading to a fundamental shift in the culture of the firm. "We are benefitting from the critical thinking of team members throughout the firm, building an environment in which varied opinions are encouraged and respected, and incorporating employee ideas into operating and strategic objectives."
